Lower Hutt, Port Road

The Seaview foreshore is increasingly being eroded by waves and flooding during severe storms. This project aims to protect nearby infrastructure and public land by improving the resilience of the foreshore. 

To improve resilience, the existing seawall will be restructured and built-up on the eastern side of Te Awa Kairangi / Hutt River from where it enters Wellington Harbour to the mouth of Waiwhetū Stream.
