Keen to get back on your bike? Want some tips about how to stay safe when sharing the road? Come along to our free course led by supportive, experienced instructors.

A row of cyclists bike down a footpathThis 2 hour course is a great way to get back into biking or to build confidence for riding on the road for the first time. The course starts with a skills session in the park and then moves onto quiet local streets and shared paths.

Skills covered will include starting and stopping safely, turning, looking all around and signalling, stopping quickly with control, where to ride on the road, passing parked vehicles, how to move through intersections and more.

Bikes and helmets available if you don't have your own.

2pm meet at Free Ride workshop at 35 Hillary Court, next to the old Video EZY. We’ll head to Barton Reserve (access from Chapman Crescent) at about 2.15pm after our briefing.

These sessions are hosted by Free Ride.  For more info visit the Free Ride website.
