My principal residence is within the Wairarapa General Constituency area.

With over 20 years as a former Carterton District Councillor, I have a proven record of practical decision-making and putting community interests ahead of political ideology. I believe Wairarapa people deserve representation that advocates for the needs of residents, farmers, businesses and commuters.

I support the Simplifying Local Government reforms and advocate for an affordable Wairarapa-based unitary council. My experience in local government has shown me the need to reduce duplication, improve accountability, and ensure ratepayer money is spent wisely.

I am focussed on protecting our productive rural land from inappropriate development, including industrial-scale solar power schemes with batteries and extensive pine plantations that could adversely affect neighbouring communities, tourism, and environment.

I am committed to improving river management, reducing flood risk, and advocating for reliable commuter transport services.

I will be a strong, independent voice for the Wairarapa, protecting its rural identity.
