Queen Elizabeth Park Community Planting Day 2025

Join Greater Wellington on Sunday 6 July to plant native grasses and trees to restore the mauri of this incredible park.
This planting day is open to all who wish to attend – no registration necessary. People 13 years and older, who are prepared for some physical activity can help carrying plants, digging holes, and putting new native plants in the ground.
For those a bit less physically active, you can still help by folding plant protectors, handing-out resources, and enjoying a sausage sizzle.
Play your part in recloaking Papatūānuku! We hope to see you there.
