Greater Wellington Regional Council is looking for a logo to complement the newly named Te Aro o Whareroa cycleway and walking track. The regional council's designers have come up with two designs which will be put to a public vote, and the option with most votes wins.

"Te Ara o Whareroa cycling and walking trail will be something special and we want to give it a distinctive identity which reflects its beautiful park surroundings and its connection with fun and recreation," says Greater Wellington Manager, Parks, Amanda Cox.

The first design, "Sundune Ride", features a sundown wheel over the QEP dunes with the cycleway snaking into the distance. The second, "Floating Hills", follows the same theme but with the white cycle/walking trail referring to the waves in the sea beyond the dunes, creating a sense of place.
