This report documents a re-assessment of the saltwater
intrusion risk for the Waiwhetu Artesian Aquifer based on a
review of previous studies, examination of the long-term
groundwater level monitoring record, and analysis of
system behaviour using the recently updated Hutt Aquifer
Model (Phreatos Limited, 2001).
