Greater Wellington oversees a wide range of activities across the Wellington Region that protect the environment, enable an efficient, accessible, low-carbon public transport network, and supports sustainable economic development.

This LTP was amended in June 2026 to reflect changes to assets and debt through the Local Water Done Well reform. On 1 July 2026, Tiaki Wai took ownership of Greater Wellington’s bulk water supply, which is no longer included in Greater Wellington’s 2024-34 Long Term Plan.
