Abstract: Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour is of great cultural, ecological and economic importance. Entrances to the Harbour’s inlets provide a calm and accessible area for recreational use, while the head of Pāuatahanui Inlet is home to a world-class wetland reserve. This report summarises monitoring data up to 2023 to indicate changes in overall health of the Harbour over time. An interactive version of this report can be accessed from the water monitoring page
