Requested Information:

“I write to request information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 regarding the data in the Allocations and Usage Map and the Allocations Table on your website (the Data). The data shows allocations and allocation limits for groundwater and surface water for catchments in the Greater Wellington region.
On accessing the Data, the website advises that while “Wellington Regional Council aims for information in this website to be accurate”, it does “not warranty the information is … up-to date”. It further states that “all information should be considered as being illustrative and indicative only” and that it is recommended that “information be interdependently verified”.
In light of this, could you please provide the following information:
1. When was the last time the Data (in particular, the total allocation and allocation limits) was updated?
a. If this differs by Groundwater and Surface Water categories, or if it differs by Catchment Management Unit (CMU), please provide the last update date per
category or CMU.
2. When and how often is the Data updated?
3. Are there any CMUs for which the information (in particular, the total allocation and allocation limits) is out of date?
a. If so, for each of those CMUs, please provide the latest information as to:
i. the total allocation;
ii. the allocation limit; and
iii. whether there is a queue for any remaining allocation.
b. Please also advise the recency of any new information under 3.a. above.

4. The Surface water CMUs and Groundwater CMUs for Te Awarua-o-Porirua Whaitua are noted to be “pending change”. Could you please advise:
a. Is the total allocation and allocation limit data available in the Allocations table for Te Awarua-o-Porirua Whaitua? If so, under what CMU?
b. If not, please provide the most up to date information on total allocations and allocation limits for Te Awarua-o-Porirua”
