The conservation status of the indigenous lizard species in the Wellington region has been assessed by an expert panel. Seventeen indigenous lizard species were identified as being present in the region with conservation status assessments listing four species as Regionally Critical, two species as Regionally Vulnerable and six species as Regionally At Risk.
