Whānau Summer Day

Whānau Summer Day Back to Events calendar

The Kaitoke Regional Park is everybody's Big Backyard; come and join us for a classic Kiwi backyard style day in this magnificent natural setting. Expect a day of pop-up surprises and new destinations to explore!

Start the day with some outdoor games on the grass with your whanau and take part in the fun-filled scavenger hunt. Next, grab a delicious snack and wander your way to the majestic ancient rain forest by crossing an exhilarating swing bridge, feed the eels and hear all about centuries-old Rimu and Rātā from your park ranger Steve.

Finally, adventure off to Rivendell, the home of the elves in The Lord of the Rings and cool off after a day of walking in tranquil river pools.
