Queen Elizabeth Park Planting Day
Grab your whānau, friends and join us down at Queen Elizabeth Park for a morning of planting in the coastal dunes south of Raumati South. Your aroha mahi will help restore the native habitat and protect it against storms and sea-level rise.
We'll plant 600 specialised sand-binding dune plants. This will be the fourth year of planting this area and we can already see a massive improvement thanks to your support.
What to bring/wear: We recommend you bring warm clothes, sturdy shoes and a rain jacket. Optional, but much appreciated, would be gardening gloves and spades should you have any.
COVID-19 update: We are following the advice from government and local council on all Covid-19 restrictions. We are required to keep a record of your contact details for contact tracing. If you have any concerns about Covid-19 procedures, please get in touch.
