Gollans Valley Adventure
East Harbour Regional Park, Lees Grove entrance, Wainuiomata
$10.00 per head
Bookings essential. High level of fitness required. Max 30 people.
Lace up your tramping boots and get off the beaten track with the local Park Ranger. He’ll get your heart rate pumping straight away with a steep climb to Mt Lowry, the highest point in East Harbour Regional Park. You’ll then drop into the top of Gollans Valley off the main track and criss-cross Gollans stream along the valley floor. Hear from local volunteers about the work they’re doing to keep pest numbers down in this gorgeous forest. Finally, climb through beech forest to Middle Ridge before exiting via the Kereru track.
Phew… after all that we’ll definitely need ice-cream! There should be time to grab one before jumping on a bus back to the start at Wainuiomata.
