Bring your class to Kaitoke

The best place to study and learn about ecosystems, our place in the natural world and how we affect nature is outdoors. Through environmental education, individuals learn to appreciate and care for the natural world.

Kaitoke Regional Park is a great place for a school excursion. The park ranger is available for up to two hours free of charge to guide walking tours in the rainforest. The tours also include visits to the water intake weir, flume bridge and strainer house. Please contact him to arrange a suitable time.

Should you wish to stay longer, the campsite is ideal for school groups. Camping fees are $2 per night for students and $5 per night for adults.

Tours of Te Marua water treatment plant are run separately. Please email info@gw.govt.nz or phone Greater Wellington Water Supply at 04 384 5708 to arrange a tour of the treatment plant.
