To get a picture of what people are thinking and feeling about important issues in our Region, Greater Wellington holds annual community research with help from independent research company, Kantar. 

We measure public awareness of Greater Wellington and Metlink and our roles and responsibilities; which of our community outcomes people feel are most important; how well people think we’re doing achieving them; and what people think are the priorities. The anonymous survey has been in place since 2019.

There are lots of factors Greater Wellington and Councillors consider when making decisions and deciding direction for the Council. Hearing what people in the region are saying is an important one, and this is one of many surveys, insights research and public consultations Greater Wellington runs regularly with customers and community.
