Kia whakanuia te taiao - Celebrate our environment's significance
For over 20 years, the annual Restoration Day has provided networking and learning opportunities for those of us involved in ecological restoration in the Wellington Region. We learn relevant skills, and current best practice techniques, and share stories and information while networking with other participants and experts. It is an opportunity to recognise and thank people for supporting biodiversity in the Wellington Region.
Restoration Day 2022 was focused on Wairarapa Moana with the theme of Kia whakanuia te taiao - Celebrate our environments significance. There were four webinar presentations, which can be viewed below. These were held alongside a series of in-person field trips.
A big thank you to the organisations that make Restoration Day happen:
Greater Wellington, Department of Conservation, Wairarapa Pukaha to Kawakawa, Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Rangitāne, Mountains to Sea Wellington, Wellington City Council, Wellington Zoo, QEII National Trust, Carterton District Council, and Victoria University of Wellington.
