Come join Te Whakaminenga o Kāpiti and Kāpiti Coast District Council as we commemorate Waitangi Day this 6 February at Whareroa, Queen Elizabeth Park.
With free parking and event entry, your family can share in the commemorations that will start with a pōwhiri at 8.30am and the launch of the 2019 exhibition, Te Tiriti, Me huri whakamuri, ka titiro whakamua. Explore the market space from 10am, including food, arts and crafts stalls, speakers, workshops, a kapa haka performance, Te Whare Tapere (Gift of Knowledge tent), and kids’ activities. Greater Wellington Regional Council are running a Waahi Tapu tour from the event on the day and we thank them for sharing the beautiful Ramaroa building and Queen Elizabeth Park with us for this day
We welcome you and your family to Waitangi Day 2019, but please keep your furry friends at home as there are no dogs allowed in the park for this event.
