Wainuiomata Hunting Ballot
The Greater Wellington Regional Council is organising independently supervised ballot for hunting blocks in the Wainuiomata and Orongorongo Water Collection Areas during the end of March and April 2017.
Ballot entries must be received by 12noon on Monday 27 February 2017. The ballot will be held on Tuesday, 28 February 2017. Winners of the ballots will be notified by Friday, 3 March 2017.

The cost of entering into a ballot is $5 (non refundable) by internet banking. Those successful in the ballot will be required to pay a further fee of $20 for each five-day period.

These catchments are normally closed to the public. The hunting will play a part in controlling animals in the water collection area and help improve water quality.
Ten hunting blocks are available for four periods of five days.
