The Flood Protection Department of Greater Wellington Regional Council invites you to the 2012 Waikanae River Walkover.
The annual walkover of the river will take place to:
A walkover itinerary will be provided on the day. Please bring suitable clothing in case of bad weather, and ensure that you wear sturdy footwear as the walkover at Waikanae is not an easy stroll.
We will be meeting at Edgewater Park at 9am. The gate to the park will be open so if you have a vehicle please drive through and park on the grass. The walkover will include a walk down the River and a light lunch will be provided enroute at midday. We expect to finish the walkover by 2:30pm at Otaihanga. If you can organise return transport from Otaihanga that would be good, otherwise we will be able to provide limited transport back to Edgewater Park.
For catering purposes, please confirm your attendance with Erin Chalk on 04 830 4048 or erin.chalk@gw.govt.nz by Friday 26 October 2012.
We look forward to seeing you there.
