- planted around 100,000 trees by 2011,
- eradicated large areas of blackberry,
- substantially reduced a large number of other weeds including wandering willie, Japanese honeysuckle, montbretia, buddleia, wattle, and sycamore,
- removed large quantities of rubbish,
- built new tracks, bridges, and seats and tables
- maintained possum bait stations and serviced mustelid traps
- run two home based plant nurseries growing eco-sourced native plants for the project
- made submissions on catchment land developments affecting streams in the Park
- advocated for Kaiwharawhara estuary restoration (part of ecological corridor)
- educated park users and locals through interpretive boards, signage, brochures, a web-site, newsletters, guidelines, a Park visitors map and newspaper articles
- and involved a wide range of different people in their activities and their adopt a spot programme including locals, school groups, global volunteers and corporate volunteers.
