Description:

The Flood Protection Department of Greater Wellington Regional Council invites you to the 2012 Otaki River Walkover.

The annual walkover of the river will take place to:

  • Monitor implementation of the Otaki Floodplain Management Plan
  • View environmental enhancement and restoration works in progress

We will be meeting at the Otaki depot at 8.30am and buses will be used to visit the various reaches of the river. The walkover will include an overview of flood protection maintenance and improvements along the river as well as sites being environmentally improved.
