The beach is excellent for swimming. For your safety, swim between the Paekakariki Surf Club flags in summer.

You can surf cast from the beach.

Please keep to the marked beach access routes to help protect the dunes. Car parking is available at Paekakariki, Whareroa Beach (via MacKays Crossing) and Raumati South.
