The park is very popular for many different types of events, especially cross country running and orienteering, festivals, mountain biking and equestrian activities such as pony club camps. Families, schools and other community groups enjoy the opportunity for camping, birthdays, weddings and other celebrations. Please contact the ranger to discuss your event ideas. To manage these different activities and their effects, Greater Wellington operates a system of concessions and fees for commercial and non-commercial purposes. These give you the legal right to carry out an activity, which is important if you require exclusive use of a site.
