Barbecue at Kaitoke - Jessica Dewsnap

Kaitoke is well known for its beautiful picnic areas, on the river terraces and near the bush edges at the Pakuratahi entrance.

Portable gas barbecues may only be used in the picnic and camping areas. Drinking water and coin operated electric barbecues are available in the campground shelters. The barbecues cost $1 to operate for 15 minutes.

Groups of 20 or more may book the large barbecue shelter during the summer months for a small fee.
