Enjoy camping on the flat grassy river terraces at the Pakuratahi entrance. Feel free to put up your tent or park your campervan where you choose, except for reserved areas or the large central area used for ball games.

Camping fees: $5 per adult or $2 per child (aged 16 and under) per night.

Flush toilets are located at the centre of the campground. Bring your own portable shower or take a dip in the river nearby.

Please pay and register by filling in the envelope provided in the information kiosk. Clearly display the receipt card on your vehicle or on your tent.

Campfires and barbecues

You are welcome to bring your own portable gas barbecue.

Campervans

There is no dump station at Kaitoke Regional Park. The nearest public dump station is on SH2 500m north of Moonshine Bridge in the rest area by the river.

Book a site
There is no charge to book a campsite for groups of 40 or more. Please contact the ranger to discuss your requirements.
