Resource Advisor - Consents (1 year fixed term maternity leave)

Greater Wellington is responsible for promoting the sustainable management of our region’s resources, including land, air, water and the coast.  A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a fixed term role in our Environmental Regulation department.  This role is to cover maternity leave from approximately October 2010 to November 2011.

You will manage the resource consent process from the application stage through to compliance inspections and be a part of our 24 hour response service

We are looking for a person who has:

• An understanding of the Resource Compliance and Consents process, and is able to hit the ground running
• A technical background in one of the environmental sciences
• Commitment to excellent customer service and communication skills
• The ability to think logically, and be highly organised
• The ability to convey technical information to non-technical people
• Common sense and a sense of humour
