Regional Public Transport Plan
The Regional Public Transport Plan (PT Plan) is prepared by Greater Wellington under the Public Transport Management Act 2008.
The Plan's vision is for a modern, effective and efficient integrated public transport network that contributes to sustainable economic growth and increased productivity while also providing for the social needs of the community.
The Plan:
- specifies how Greater Wellington will give effect to the Wellington Regional Land Transport Strategy
- sets the direction for public transport in the region for the next ten years. This includes the public transport services that Greater Wellington proposes to be provided in the region.
- gives an overview of public transport in the Wellington region and why Greater Wellington provides it
- outlines Greater Wellington’s approach to funding and delivering public transport and the public transport services proposed to be provided in the region
