Regional Land Transport Programme

RLTP 2012-15

Regional Land Transport Programme 2012-15

The Regional Land Transport Programme (RLTP) sets out all the transport projects, what they will cost and how they will be funded.

It also identifies other significant transport projects expected to start within the next 10 years, along with a 10-year financial forecast.

The RLTP provides the reigon's funding bid for funding of transport projects from the National Land Transport Fund.

Development of the final RLTP 2012-15

We received 546 submissions on the draft RLTP.

A Hearings Subcommittee considered the submissions and recommended amendments to the draft RLTP.

The NZ Transport Agency, Greater Wellington and local councils also provided updated information about their projects, including timing and cost updates, primarily as a result of ongoing project development and considerations through council Long Term Plan processes.

The Regional Transport Committee considered the Subcommittee's recommendations and other advised updates to the Programme at their meeting on 22 June 2012 and subsequently agreed a final Programme to recommend to Greater Wellington.

Greater Wellington approved the final Regional Land Transport Programme at its meeting on 27 June 2012 and has submitted the Programme to NZTA as the region's bid for funding from the the National Land Transport Programme.
