Regional Coastal Plan - regional rules

The Regional Coastal Plan contains 86 rules relating to activities on, and disturbance of, the foreshore and seabed, structures, taking, using, damming and diverting water, and discharging contaminants to land, air or water.

The rules are grouped as follows:

Rules about reclamation and draining of the foreshore and seabed (Rules 1 to 5)
Rules about structures in the coastal marine area (Rules 6 to 27)
Rules about destruction, damage, or disturbance of foreshore or seabed (Rules 28 to 43)
Rules about deposition of substances on foreshore and seabed (Rules 44 to 49)
Rules about exotic or introduced plants in the coastal marine area (Rules 50 to 52)
Rules about discharges to land and water in the coastal marine area (Rules 53 to 62)
Rules about discharges to air in the coastal marine area (Rules 63 to 72)
Rules about taking, using, damming and diverting water in the coastal marine area (Rules 73 to 77)
Rules about surface water and foreshore activities (Rules 78 to 86)
