Park interest groups
There are many different community groups with an interest in Belmont Regional Park. Some are based in the park itself, while for others the park is a popular setting for their activities.

- Belmont Pony Club
- Korokoro Environmental Group (KEG) works to maintain the environmental and recreational values of the Korokoro Valley block from Cornish St to Belmont Trig, Horokiwi Rd and Oakleigh St. Contact Vanessa Browne Vanessa_Browne@URSCorp.com.
- Hill Road Community Group (HRCG) does planting, weed control and track maintenance in Speedys Reserve and at the Hill Road entrance and Pony Club lease block. Contact Beth Reille belmontcottages@ihug.co.nz
- Belmont Area Mountain Bike Association (BAMBA) does track maintenance/development and planting on the Stratton St block. Contact Mark Renall Mark.Renall@fire.org.nz
Other clubs
- Kiwi Conservation Club (KCC) and the Global Volunteer Network do planting and weeding in the Korokoro Valley. Plants are supplied by Forest & Bird (Lower Hutt) and MIRO.
