Opening of the Lower Dam « Back to Events calendar
Description:

Finished in 1884 and part of Wellington's water supply infrastructure until the 1950s, the historic Lower Dam will soon be open for everyone to enjoy. Join the Greater Wellington Regional Council and our iwi partners as we celebrate a new milestone for this beautiful area. 

Note: Speeches will begin at 10am, please allow at least 40mins to walk the 2km to the dam.

There are no dogs allowed at this event.

Getting there:

Take the main road south through Wainuiomata to Coast Rd, turn left onto Moores Valley Rd, right into Whitcher Grove, go straight ahead to Reservoir Rd.
