Water quality testing from Greater Wellington’s Hutt River at Birchville monitoring site has returned counts of E.coli within recommended guidelines, meaning the area of the river in the vicinity of Akatarawa Road and Gemstone Drive is now safe for swimming.  Warning signs have been removed.
