 Closure of Kaitoke Hill Pine Plantation for logging operations

From March 1st 2016 the Pine Plantation in Kaitoke Regional Park that includes the Kaitoke Hill and Pylon Loop tracks will be closed to the public from Monday to Friday from 4am to 5pm for approximately 6 months to enale the logging of the forest.  Large machinery and logging trucks will be operating in this area.

 

 

Mountain biking is only permitted in the Kaitoke Hill Plantation area of the park using Kaitoke Hill and Pylon Loop Tracks. To use the Te Marua entrance turn left off SH2 at Twin Lakes Road, Te Marua, 5km north of Upper Hutt. These tracks are multiuse so be aware of walkers and horseriders.
