Fixed term (9 months)
We are looking for someone to help us maintain and enhance the infrastructure, environmental and heritage assets in our Belmont and Queen Elizabeth Regional Parks.
In this role you will have contact with a number GW staff and Councillors, and members of the community including landowners, general public, and occasionally will be required to supervise volunteer/environmental and work scheme programmes.
To succeed in this role you will need
- Experience undertaking park maintenance.
- Confidence operating and maintaining small machinery, plant and equipment.
- Experience using herbicides safely and effectively.
- A current vehicle driver’s licence, preferably with 4x4 training and experience.
- Experience managing natural ecosystems and heritage features.
- Excellent customer service and public relations skills.
- Able to work rostered relief ranging duties as required on weekends or evenings.
