Meridian Energy is a proud supporter of Greater Wellington’s Take Action programme, which helps students develop greater awareness of the importance of the environment and gain knowledge and skills to make informed environmental decisions now and into the future.

The Meridian Take Action Fund is a joint initiative between Greater Wellington and Meridian Energy to help schools take on environmental projects in their school or local community.

“We see Take Action as a fun and informative way of building an understanding of environmental consequences, which we hope will encourage a change in behaviour in the students and they will share their experience with their family and friends," Meridian Energy External Relations Manager Claire Shaw says.

The fund is worth $10,000 per year for three years and is open to schools that have participated, or are participating, in Greater Wellington’s Take Action programmes.
