If you see any kind of oil floating on the sea, in our harbours or near the shore, please contact GW Harbours with details:
by telephone
by VHF radio, to Wellington Harbour Radio, (Beacon Hill)
We will investigate the oil spill as quickly as possible and take action to prevent further contamination. Our response will depend on the nature and scale of the incident. Small spills of diesel and petrol will often quickly disperse naturally.
If you see large logs, drums or other large floating objects that may present a hazard to vessels, contact GW Harbours and provide us with as much information as possible:
by telephone
by VHF radio, to Wellington Harbour Radio, (Beacon Hill)
