The 2019 Local Government elections will be conducted by postal vote.
The voting period starts on Friday 20 September 2019 and closes at noon on Saturday 12 October 2019.
If you're enrolled to vote, your voting papers will be posted to you between Friday 20 September 2019 and Wednesday 25 September 2019.
All you have to do is complete your voting form and send it back to the electoral officer using the pre-paid envelope provided.
If you're not enrolled to vote, visit the Electoral Commission website www.elections.org.nz or call 0800 36 76 56 to enrol.
This is your chance to say who you want to represent you when making decisions for our region over the next three years. The people elected to Council will make many decisions on your behalf. They will set Greater Wellington Regional Council’s rates and decide how the community’s money should be spent to achieve a sustainable region.
