Help develop GWRC's Climate Change Strategy
Greater Wellington Regional Council is calling on you to help guide the development of our Climate Change Strategy to inform policy, strategies and actions to address our changing climate.
GWRC has many climate-relevant roles and responsibilities, including biodiversity management, pest control, flood protection, bulk water supply and public transport. As well as planning for and adapting to the effects of climate change, we also want to ensure we are doing all we can to mitigate climate change by addressing greenhouse gas emissions.
To ensure we are being as consistent as possible in our approach to reducing emissions and adapting to the effects of climate change, we are developing the Climate Change Strategy.
To help you tell us your views, we have set up a public engagement webpage where you can go online and contribute your ideas. To engage in this project visit http://haveyoursay.gw.govt.nz/ climate-change
Opportunity for input closes on August 1 and the feedback received will help create a draft GWRC Strategy, which will again be released for public comment before the Strategy is finalised.
