Greater Wellington Parks Network Plan - Draft
A consolidated plan for parks
Greater Wellington has developed the Greater Wellington Parks Network Plan - Draft - its first-ever "consolidated" plan for managing regional parks and forests. The purpose of having a consolidated plan is to:
- Bring all the individual management plans’ visions, objectives and policies together as an easy reference for the public and for practitioners
- Provide a consistent approach across to managing the network of regional parks and forests
- Provide a more efficient approach to planning – we’ll aim to revise the plan every 10 years instead of revising one park at a time
