eMission 2009/10
The eMission programme was launched in June 2009. Twenty businesses from a range of sectors joined the programme. We have worked with them to calculate their baseline carbon footprint and provided guidance on practical carbon reduction solutions. A brief description of their core business along with what Enviro-Mark®NZ certification level they have achieved so far is described below. They are currently working hard to reduce their carbon footprints and achieve a higher Enviro-Mark®NZ level (where possible). Read the Case Studies to learn more about what they achieved.
Bemis Packaging: Printing and production of flexible packaging and the manufacture of co-extruded irradiated bi-axially oriented shrinkable tubing. Working towards Enviro-Mark®NZ Gold.
Bramco: Importation of natural stone in slab forms. Cut and progress slabs to custom sizes for bench tops, vanities, fireplaces, reception tops and walls and floors. Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze achieved.
Caffe L'affare: Coffee roaster for cafes and supermarkets, cafe owner, supply and service coffee machines for the Cafe market. Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze achieved
Capiche: Brand Identity development, design and creative direction for TV, Radio, Print advertising and DM Campaigns. Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze achieved. Read their case study to find out more about their sustainable achievements.
Dawell: Manufacturer of quality office seating for the home office, schools, cafes and commercial businesses. Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze achieved.
Dominion Post (Petone printing site): Printers for The Dominion Post and The Manawatu Standard. as well as a range of community papers for different areas around the lower Nth Island areas. Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze achieved.
Downer EDI (Asphalt Plant - Wellington): Asphalt manufacturing facility. Enviro-Mark®NZ Diamond achieved.
Excel Digital Print: Digital Printing on paper based substrates, including binding, finishing and design. Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze achieved.
Green Cabs: Provide Taxi services including accounts dispatch, Airport meet and greet etc. Working towards Enviro-Mark®NZ Bronze.
HotChilly: Commercial design, build, manufacturing, installation and servicing of air conditioning systems. Contracts ranging from office fit-out, multi-story buildings, apartments. Residential sales, supply and installation of Daikin, Mitsubishi and Panasonic Heat Pumps. Enviro-Mark®NZ Gold achieved. Read their case study to find out more about their sustainable achievements.
