Canterbury Earthquake
The Wellington Region CDEM Group are taking the following actions in response to the Canterbury Earthquake:
1. On stand-by to provide support to the Canterbury CDEM Group
We have engineers, building inspectors and demolition contractors ready to be deployed should a request for support come from the Canterbury CDEM Group.
2. Currently providing staffing support to the National Crisis Management Centre (NCMC)
Staff from the Wellington Region CDEM Group have been working shifts at the NCMC to support MCDEM as required.
