Dogs in the parks

Dog walking is encouraged in most of the regional parks. Any person who brings a dog into a regional park must make sure:

  • that your dog is kept under control at all time. You must carry a leash with you and use it as required and in some areas dogs must be on a leash at all times.
  • that your dog does not injure, endanger, intimidate or cause distress to any person, stock, poultry, domestic animal or protected wildlife.
  • that you remove and properly dispose of all dog droppings deposited by your dog.
