Wellington Regional Council and Friends of Maara Roa are working
together to prepare a restoration and development plan for the Cannons
Creek Valley, an area which is also known as ‘Maara Roa’.
The project area covered in this report includes two landowners – Porirua
City Council and Landcorp. Porirua City Council owns the Cannons Creek
Lakes Reserve; Landcorp owns the rest of the project area. Both areas fall
within the boundaries of Belmont Regional Park, which is administered
and managed by Wellington Regional Council.
