Bikewise
Bike Wise is a nationally coordinated event that promotes safety and biking as a sustainable, fun, healthy and enjoyable means of transport. Bike Wise is funded by the NZ Transport Agency and the Ministry of Health and is the only nationwide programme of cycling events.
The Bike Wise programme is characterised by three major events - ‘Go By Bike Day’, the ‘Mayoral Challenge’ and the ‘Bike Wise Battle’, that are held during ‘Bike Wise Month’ where thousands of New Zealanders participate in cycling events held throughout the country.
