Track repairs are being done to widen the track where a slip has occurred, upstream of Woollen Mills Dam. While this work is being completed there will be a detour in place between 8am-4pm. This detour will not take any longer to complete but does involve two stream crossings, so you will get wet feet.
We are sorry for any inconvenience. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and our website for more updates.
We ask visitors to Belmont Regional Park to be mindful of the high top paddocks from Hill road to Belmont Trig Track and down to Takapu Road. These paddocks are closed, and not to be entered as the ewe’s housed within are still lambing. This closure has been extended until 1 November.
Please respect this, as we’ve had multiple people entering the lambing area over the last few months which is not safe for the ewes or their little ones.
Tracks that are affected by this closure are Takapu Ridge Track, the Dress Circle Track, Cannons Head and a section of Puki Ariki. The Takapu entrance will remain open to allow visitors to view Bridge 20 and the Tranmission Gully progress but the farm is closed.

Thanks for your patience.
