Be safe, be seen in the water this summer
With the weather starting to warm up, many people will be dusting off the togs and getting ready to get back in the ocean.
Keep safe when swimming in the ocean this summer with GO SWIM water safety bags, available at a discounted rate through an initiative between GWRC and local swim coach John Ross.
GO SWIM is an inflatable dry bag, which can be towed behind an open-water swimmer for increased visibility and can also be used to keep you afloat if things take a turn for the worse. The internal dry bag’s pocket can also hold your towel, car keys and wallet without affecting its buoyancy.
The special safety bags are available at an introductory price of $49.95 from the Ministry of Swimming in Alicetown, Lower Hutt, or online at www. ministryofswimming.com
