Water treatment plants production

Water treatment plants production

Updated 6 September 2012 11:28am

The water consumed by the four cites in the Wellington region is produced by three water treatment plants: Te Marua, Wainuiomata and Waterloo. There is a fourth water treatment plant, Gear Island, however this is a standby water treatment plant and is rarely used.

Notes about the graphs:

  • The data used to produce these graphs comprises of "raw data" as it has not passed through our quality checks. For data that has been quality checked please contact us
  • The water treatment plants may occasionally show zero production - this is generally because the plant has been shut down due to either poor river quality (generally after a storm), low river flows or essential plant maintenance
