Tauherenikau at Bull Mound
This site is located on Bull Mound in the Southern Tararua range, at an elevation of 1000 metres. It was installed in 1976 and provides an indication of rainfall in the headwaters of the Tauherenikau and Hutt catchments. We also measure wind speed/direction in the Tararuas at our Cone Peak monitoring site.
