Swimming
Residents and visitors to the Hutt Valley enjoy cooling off in the Hutt River during the warmer months. There are several good swimming holes:
- just north of Fraser Park off Taita Drive
- south of SIlverstream Bridges near the old willow nursery
- at the confluence of the Hutt and Whakatikei Rivers
- at the confluence of the Hutt and Akatarawa Rivers
Never swim alone and always check the river for submerged rocks or logs.
