Picnics
You will find picnic tables and toilets at Dry Creek, in the Stratton Street valley, and at Oakleigh Street, Maungaraki. Other popular sites within easy walking distance include Korokoro Dam and Baked Beans Bend. You are welcome to bring your portable gas barbecue or stove. Light no fires.
Camping - by arrangement only
Large groups may camp in the Dry Creek valley by arrangement. Toilets and drinking water are available. Contact the park ranger to arrange a permit. Camping fees are $5 per adult and $2 per child per night.
Group events
There are a variety of areas available for group activities and events, particularly at the Dry Creek and Stratton Street park entrances. The Stratton Street woolshed classroom is available to book for group meetings, events and other activities. Please contact the park ranger for more information.
